On-Site Design Manager
As your Creative Director, I can play a crucial role on-site by ensuring that the event's vision and aesthetic are executed smoothly and cohesively. As a steward of the event’s vision, I'll work with all production teams to certify that every visual, auditory, and experiential element supports the desired atmosphere and objectives.
Aaah, the on-site work. This is where things really come together. Sometimes after many months of planning. Sometimes, years. And no doubt, this is the exciting stuff! It's where it all manifests. Where it all comes together. Where you want to see a flawless execution. And if you don't have boots on the ground and someone in them who really embraces and understands the approved concept, there's a chance that things can go sideways.
On the floor and in short order, I can ensure the receipt and placement of the elements. I can methodically and quickly re-stage them for unforeseen circumstances such as undiscovered physical obstructions or inclement weather. I can work with your tech team -- set designers, lighting techs and AV team -- to ensure that the final landscape tracks with the objectives. I can guide the event's flow to help manage timing and transitions of speaker entrances to video roll-ins to music set-ups. And I can help enhance the attendee experience by focusing on details that ensure that the content aligns with expectations.
In a nutshell, I can - oversee design and visual elements - guide the flow of the event - problem solve - enhance experiences - coordinate with the A/V teams - and ensure brand consistency. All of which can add up to delivering exciting, memorable and successful events as you imagined them.
